Straight answers on prices, registration, transfers and renewals.

A .pro.in domain is a third-level name under India's .in country code for professionals and their practices.

Anyone can: individuals, businesses and organisations, in India or abroad. You don't need an Indian address or company. The name must not infringe someone else's trademark or rights.

Mothersoft Technologies, a NIXI-accredited .IN registrar. Motherhost is our brand. Your .pro.in domain is registered directly with the .IN registry, not through a reseller.

Yes. Privacy protection is included free with every .pro.in domain, so your personal contact details aren't shown in public WHOIS lookups.

Your domain is registered as soon as your payment is received. After that, we ask you to verify your registrant details (eKYC) from your client area, as .IN registration rules require, and we email you reminders until it's done.

Yes. Add our Free DNS plan at checkout for DNS management, email forwarding and two mailboxes, free while the domain is registered with us. If you need more mailboxes, add business email hosting, or point the domain at any email provider you already use.

From 1 to 10 years. You can renew early at any time from your client area to add more years, up to a total of 10. The renewal price is shown on this page before you buy.

Yes. Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get its authorisation (EPP) code, then start a transfer on our domain transfer page. The transfer price includes a one-year renewal, so one year is added to your current expiry date.

Your website and email stop working on the expiry date. For a short grace period after that you can still renew at the normal renewal price. After the grace period a restore fee applies, and if the domain isn't restored it is deleted and anyone can register it. We email you renewal reminders before your domain expires.

Disputes over .in domain names, for example a name that copies a trademark, are decided under NIXI's .IN Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (INDRP).
