As the account owner, you can change what a delegate can see and do at any time. This also works for someone who hasn't accepted their invite yet.
Change permissions
- Log in to your account at my.motherhost.com.
- Click your profile icon at the top right, then click My Profile.
- Click User Management.
- Find the user in the list and click Manage Permissions.
- Choose the new access level:
- All Permissions gives every permission.
- Choose Permissions lets you tick or untick each permission.
- Click Save changes.
You'll see Saved. Click Back to User Management to return to the list.
The new permissions apply straight away. Any menu item the delegate no longer has permission for disappears from their account.
For a description of each permission, see Delegate access: levels of permission.
Things to know
- Taking away a permission doesn't undo past actions. For example, invoices the delegate already paid or tickets they opened stay as they are.
- Email notifications follow permissions. If the delegate gets account emails, removing View & Pay Invoices or View & Open Support Tickets also stops invoice or ticket emails to them.
- The owner's access can't be changed. The owner always has full permissions, so there's no Manage Permissions button next to the owner.
- Want to remove someone completely? See Remove a delegate user from my account.
