When you invite a delegate, or change their access later, you choose between two levels:

  • All Permissions: the delegate gets every permission in the list below.
  • Choose Permissions: you tick only the permissions you want to give.

Even with All Permissions, some account settings stay with the owner. See What only the owner can do below.

The permissions

PermissionWhat the delegate can do
View Products & ServicesSee your hosting, email, cloud and other services and add-ons under My Products/Services.
Perform Single Sign-OnLog in to your services directly from the account, such as opening Plesk Control Panel without a separate password.
View DomainsSee your domains under My Domains.
View & Pay InvoicesSee your invoices under My Invoices and pay them.
View & Accept QuotesSee quotes we've sent you under My Quotes and accept them.
View & Open Support TicketsOpen new support tickets, reply to them and manage them under Support.
View EmailsSee the history of emails we've sent to your account under My Profile → Email History.
Place New Orders/Upgrades/CancellationsOrder new products, upgrade or downgrade plans, and request cancellations.

A menu item the delegate doesn't have permission for is hidden from them.

Suggested permissions for common roles

RoleSuggested permissions
Accountant or finance teamView & Pay Invoices, View & Accept Quotes, View Emails
Web developer or agencyView Products & Services, Perform Single Sign-On, View Domains, View & Open Support Tickets
Support or operations staffView Products & Services, View Domains, View & Open Support Tickets
Business partner or managerAll Permissions

Give each person only what they need. You can add more permissions later at any time. See Change a delegate's access level.

Be careful with "Place New Orders/Upgrades/Cancellations". A delegate with this permission can order new products, change plans and request cancellations on your account.

Email notifications for delegates

When you invite a delegate, you can also tick Also notify this person by email about account activity. They'll then receive account emails, but only for the areas they have permission for:

  • general account notices
  • invoice emails, if they have View & Pay Invoices
  • support ticket emails, if they have View & Open Support Tickets

What only the owner can do

These stay with the account owner, whatever permissions a delegate has:

  • Invite users, change their permissions, or remove them (User Management)
  • Change Billing Details
  • Complete eKYC Verification
  • Change Notification Preferences
  • Add funds to the account's wallet
  • Delete Account

The owner always has full permissions. An owner's access can't be limited or removed.
