You can see a list of recent logins to your Motherhost account. Check it from time to time, and especially if you get an email about a login from a new location.
Motherhost will never ask for your codes or passwords. Our support, sales and other teams will never call, email, text or message you to ask for a one-time code (email or SMS OTP), your account password, or any hosting, email, server or domain login details. Never share these with anyone, even if they say they are from Motherhost. Learn how to spot fake Motherhost calls and messages.
View your recent logins
- Log in to your account at my.motherhost.com.
- Click your profile icon at the top right, then click My Profile.
- Click Security.
- Scroll down to Recent Logins.
Each row shows one login:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| When | The date and time of the login |
| Where | The approximate city and country, based on the IP address |
| IP / Host | The IP address the login came from, and its network name if known |
| Via | Where the login happened: Client Area (my.motherhost.com) or Website (www.motherhost.com, for example at checkout) |
Note: the location is approximate. Mobile networks, office networks and VPNs can show a nearby city, or a different one.
Emails about new logins
We email you whenever your account is logged in to from a new location. We also ask for a one-time code from that location before the login can finish. If you get one of these emails and it wasn't you, act right away.
See a login you don't recognize?
- Change your password immediately.
- Turn on two-factor authentication, so that a password on its own isn't enough to log in.
- Check your account for changes. If you have delegates, look at My Profile → User Management for users you didn't invite. Also check Support for tickets you didn't open, and My Profile → Email History for recent account emails.
- Email us at support@motherhost.com from your registered email address with the date and time of the login, and we'll help you check your account.
Using delegates? Recent Logins shows your own logins only. Each delegate logs in with their own account, and you can see when each one last logged in under My Profile → User Management.
